Problem
Metamap's underwriting product processed bank statements for lenders across Latin America. Releases were slow, and every new bank integration added risk to a shared codebase.
What I did
Designed and implemented a microservices architecture: routing, persistence, queues and inter-service communication for bank-statement processing. Worked in a mixed Node.js and Go environment: extended the Go document-processing services that talk to the Node side through RabbitMQ, adding new formats and fixing queue consumers.
Result
Average release cycle cut by 70%. Six months in, the product supported 35 banks, the most in the region.
